On base of a photo series here is shown, how simply the “Satteltester” system is used in praxis.
The horse in this case already is suppled, goes thus solved and on the bit.
The degree of collection is very important, because in this condition of the horse the saddle has to fit. With most systems for electronic measurement (mostly for lack of technical possibilities) you will not have this possibility. But it is immensely important that the saddle in the functional condition will be measured.

Used saddle clothes are removed here completely from the horse back. Before the measuring mat is put on the horse, it is advisable "to present" distrustful characters the measuring mat first of all.
Let the horse snuffle at the measuring mat. Nervousness by the unknown will be destroyed quickly and the measuring mat can be put directly on the horse back.
As you can see
on the photo, the measuring mat has form of the horse back and
rests upon thus perfectly.
Now the horse can be saddled again as usual.
During the horse is saddled correctly
again, the young horsewoman gets equipped with the black box.
In the black box the necessary electronics and the radio system are placed which the data conveyed to the Notebook.
Here the black box is emphasized with a
red circle. It makes sense, that by the small dimensions
and by the small weight neither horse nor rider are disturbed
during the measurement.
In the finish the cable of the measuring mat is connected with the black box and the measurement can start.
In the accompanying picture the measurement already is working.
In the background the horse is seen in motion and in the foreground the pressure distribution between horse and saddle can be analysed.

By using the radio supported system it is possible to see all the details “live”.
Saving the data is - although as in numerous examples shown naturally is possible - in this case unnecessary.
In the last picture we can see the young
horsewoman playing with her weight and looking to the effects
on the computer.
This is an effective and very easy way to show the effect of the seat to the beginner. So the interrelation can be visualized easy to understand.
Verbal
descriptions by pictures are replaced. The trainer can
demonstrate the correct pressure distribution and through
training the student can try to imitate and reach the same
pictures on the monitor.
So the system also is a perfect medium to learn riding quickly and in an effective way.
