Developing history:
A few years ago an acquaintance came to me, who
strove to independence. Since its wife is successful
professional horsewoman and operates also a saddle shop, he
considered whether he could not optimize the saddle sales by the
purchase of a system to the computer saddle analysis and increase
the turnover there. He agreed upon a demonstration, and I had
opportunity to take part there.
Thus I came into contact for
the first time with such a system. Which deterred my acquaintance
from the acquisition, was the very high purchase price? I am
mechanical-engineer, possess however quite good knowledge in the
electronic measuring technique. And in such a way the idea
became to dare the development of a better and more inexpensive
system, together with my colleague, an experienced programmer...
This represented the birth of the Satteltester.
But only
after we mastered the first developing level, we began to gradually
also notice that an effective, meaningful saddle analysis can never
take place on a standing horse. We developed our system further
thus again and integrated first radio data transmission and later
additionally also still another video function. The system developed
in such a way is now in the position to make a all around perfect
and consistent analysis possible.
After nearly two years we
began in spring 2005 to present the system in rider circles - and
the resonance was very large. With a lot of people, after our
experience, a very large need of clearing-up work exists concerning
interaction between horse, saddle and rider.
With our presentation meetings and with many test measurements we had to state that on the average more than half of all saddles exhibit smaller to serious lack. Here a very large optimization potential puts. We hope that with our Satteltester, we can bring a little support to that process.
